Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, for example name, email address, IP address or the content of a message.

The legal basis for processing is derived in particular from the General Data Protection Regulation, specifically Article 6(1) of the GDPR.

3. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted on a server. When you visit the website, technically necessary information is processed so that the website can be delivered and operated securely.

In particular, the following data may be processed:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of access
  • Page or file accessed
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL, if transmitted
  • Technical status messages

This data is processed for the purpose of providing the website from a technical perspective, detecting faults, preventing misuse and ensuring the security of the server.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Server log files are stored for a maximum of 6 months and then deleted, unless longer storage is required in individual cases to investigate security incidents or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. Contact form

A contact form is available on our website. If you contact us via this form, we process the data you enter, in particular:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Content of the message
  • Time of submission
  • Technical metadata relating to the form submission, where necessary

The data is used to process your enquiry and to contact you.

The message is sent to us by email and also stored in the website’s system. Storage in the website system serves the purpose of traceable processing of incoming enquiries and technical administration.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, provided your enquiry relates to contractual or pre-contractual communication. In all other cases, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the processing and documentation of incoming enquiries.

The data transmitted via the contact form will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing the enquiry, provided there are no statutory retention obligations or legitimate grounds for longer storage.

However, technically necessary cookies or comparable technical storage mechanisms may be used to ensure the website functions properly. This may include, in particular, a cookie used to store your cookie or privacy settings.

Where content or functions are only loaded after you have given your consent, this consent is also stored technically so that your selection can be taken into account.

Technically necessary cookies are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the functional, secure and user-friendly provision of the website.

Where non-essential cookies, external content or similar technologies are used, this is done solely on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

6. Local videos

Videos may be made available on our website. As things stand, these are videos stored locally on the website and not videos directly embedded from external platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo.

The videos are only displayed or played after a positive cookie or consent confirmation has been given. When playing locally embedded videos, no data is transmitted to external video platforms.

However, when the video is accessed, technically necessary server data is processed, in particular the IP address, the time of access and the video file accessed. This processing is carried out in order to be able to deliver the video technically.
